"ทุกวันนี้เราไม่ได้เดินทางเพื่อไป 'เห็น' แต่เพื่อไป 'ให้ถูกเห็น' ภายในฉากทัศน์ที่ถูกประดิษฐ์ขึ้น"
เมื่อการท่องเที่ยวโลกหลอมรวมกับวัฒนธรรมหน้าจอ พื้นที่ประวัติศาสตร์ถูกลดทอนเป็น 'วอลเปเปอร์' รองรับพิธีกรรมของมนุษย์ยุคดิจิทัล ที่ย้อนแย้งคือ ประตูท่าแพในปัจจุบันแท้จริงเป็นสถาปัตยกรรมจำลอง ไม่ใช่โบราณสถานดั้งเดิม จึงเป็น 'สิ่งประดิษฐ์' มาแต่ต้น
ข้าพเจ้าสำรวจลานประตูท่าแพผ่านสายตาคนนอก บันทึก 'ฉากทัศน์แห่งความพยายาม' ของนักท่องเที่ยว—แผ่นหลังช่างภาพ หน้าจอมือถือ ท่วงท่าโพสซ้ำๆ ราวถอดรหัสจากอัลกอริทึมเดียวกัน โดยมีนกพิราบร่วมแสดง
การใช้กล้องฟิล์มอันเชื่องช้าช่วยตรึงพฤติกรรมดิจิทัลฉาบฉวย แสงรั่วและร่องรอยไม่สมบูรณ์แบบจึงท้าทายวัฒนธรรม "ความสมบูรณ์แบบไร้ที่ติ" ของภาพออนไลน์
ข้าพเจ้าหวังให้ผู้ชมตั้งคำถามกลับมาถึงตัวเอง—ว่ากำลังเห็นคุณค่าแท้จริง หรือเพียงแสงสะท้อนว่างเปล่าของตนบนหน้าจอดิจิทัล

"Today, we do not travel to 'see'; we travel to 'be seen' within a fabricated landscape."
As global tourism merges with screen culture, historical landmarks flatten into backdrops for modern pilgrimage rituals. Paradoxically, today's Tha Phae Gate is a reconstructed replica, not an original relic—fabricated from its very inception.
I observe the plaza through an outsider's lens, documenting the 'Landscape of Effort': photographers' backs, smartphone screens, repetitive poses decoded from the same algorithm, with pigeons as commercial co-stars.
Using a slow analog film camera, I freeze these fleeting digital behaviors. Light leaks and imperfections become physical evidence challenging the pixel-perfect aesthetic of the online world.
I hope viewers question whether we perceive true value, or merely an empty reflection of ourselves on a digital screen.
