2018年12月11日は、私の人生で最も重要な日でした。その新聞を表紙から表紙まで読んだにもかかわらず、私には何も重要ではないように感じました。通常、新聞は一般の人々にとって重要なニュースで構成されています。
新聞の情報は不可欠かもしれませんが、世界は報道されず、ほんの一握りの人々にとって意味のある出来事でいっぱいです。たとえば、結婚や海外への移住など、大きな機会になる可能性があります。それはまた、誰かとの出会い、または当時は重要ではなかったように思えたが、振り返ってみると特別なイベントになった特定の場所への旅行であったかもしれません。最初に発生したときは普通でした。さらに、痛みや悲しみを伴う出来事は、その経験と折り合いをつけた後、私たちを今日のようにする可能性があります。
私は、私が生きている間に大多数の人々に認識された多くの重要な出来事を撮影しました。同様に、あまり知られていない小さな出来事も撮影しました。このプロジェクトは、2つの異なる要素で構成されています。1つ目は、私が生まれた1978年から現在までの認識可能なニュースの新聞報道であり、ニュースに関連する人物の肖像画と重複しています。2つ目は、私の周りの人々の肖像画が意味のある days for them that are then layered with newspapers dated from those particular times.
Several years have passed since the uncontrollable outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease pandemic worldwide, and recently new struggles have begun. At this very moment, people are dying and others are being born; someone is crying while others are laughing, and there are certain events that seem crucial and others that seem trivial. I am eager to know what will happen with the virus and these continuing conflicts, just like the rest of the people around the world. However, at the same time, I am also very concerned about the whereabouts of my wallet that I found missing yesterday. Today can be just another ordinary day for many people, but for someone else, it can be an important and irreplaceable one.
