We can't truly know a person simply by looking at their appearance.
The things they like, the things they dislike, and the many elements that shape their personality are invisible to the eye.
I have focused on 'likes' as one such invisible aspect. I believe that what a person 'likes' varies from person to person and is one of the elements that reflects their true nature.
In this work, I have created a mask composed of the person's 'favourite things. The mask, which is essentially a tool for concealing the face, breaks free from its original function and instead reveals 'another self'.
If you were in that position, what kind of 'another self' would you wish to express?


人は見た目だけでは、その人をすべて知ることはできない。
好きなものや苦手なもの、その人らしさを形づくる多くのものは、目には見えない。
私は、その見えないものの一つである「好き」に着目をした。好きなものは人それぞれ異なり、その人らしさを映し出す要素の一つだと考えた。
そこで本作品では、その人の好きなもので顔を構成した仮面を制作した。
本来は顔を隠すための道具が、現実の見た目の制約から離れ、もう一つの自分を露わにする。
あなたなら、どんな「もう1人の自分」を表現するだろうか。
